Care Responsibilities

Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

Prior to becoming an IRIS Consultant, I worked at TMG as a Consultant Services Support Specialist for over a year. I assisted IRIS Consultants and Supervisors with plans and processes for their partners in IRIS. I worked as a Care Coordinator at Care Wisconsin for 3 years. I collaborated with an RN and Social worker, coordinated Services throughout Dane County and advocated for everyone I supported. I have also worked with a variety of Patients as a Medical Assistant at UW Health.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
As a partner, I will work with individuals to tailor the IRIS Plan to meet his or her specific goals. I want to build a trusting relationship with people and be someone they can go to when they have questions or need guidance clearing their path ahead.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and interests. I enjoy helping people and problem solving to get the best outcome. It’s very rewarding to be so close to people and know I’m helping them as much as I can.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My previous experience partnering with IRIS Consultants and their Supervisors has really prepared me for this role. In addition to this, I have also obtained valuable experience as a care coordinator and medical assistant. I look forward to being your partner in IRIS.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy biking, camping and exploring new places. I love spending time with family and friends, watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, and my cat Zoey. I’m also a lover of Wisconsin Supper Clubs!
