Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

I started my professional career working in various Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCAC) retirement communities. I was the Life Enrichment Coordinator, where I was able to focus on person-centered interests. After moving to the Madison area and prior to coming to TMG, I worked as a residential case manager for adults with disabilities. This has given me extensive experience with helping people with physical and cognitive disabilities, and those who are aging.

More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnership to me means being able to work together to achieve your goals and dreams. First, I will listen to what you hope to achieve, and we will make a plan together with your IRIS services and supports. I will help to make sure that you are feeling informed and confident in moving forward with the path you choose.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I find it fulfilling to be in a position where I can assist people to be as successful and independent as possible. Helping to empower individuals with the self-direction of their services and seeing them achieve their goals brings me joy. I appreciate and look forward to building one-on-one connections with individuals in the IRIS program.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Both my professional and personal experience has played a significant role in my job development. I've learned the importance of using time and words wisely, as neither can be taken back. By working in both aging services and with individuals with disabilities, I have been able to be a compassionate leader to those looking for assistance with their daily lives.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy being active and exploring all that Madison has to offer. In the wintertime, I like to downhill and cross-country ski, but I also enjoy reading a good book. Summer is my favorite season as it allows me to be active, go hiking, camping, running, explore new places and go to places such as Concerts on the Square and the Union with friends.
