More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I help the people I partner with clear the path ahead by asking questions to identify their goals and any potential barriers that might prevent them from reaching them. Once the obstacles have been identified, I help the person strategize and develop a plan to get over those hurdles, and achieve their target goal. The key to it all is to identify, assess, research and strategize.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
As a TMG IRIS Consultant, I enjoy helping people learn about their options, help them to achieve their goals, and encourage them be innovative. Everyone deserves their personal cheering section – someone who supports their dreams and goes the extra mile to help them achieve those goals. The IRIS program can be a great way to help people live full and empowered lives, and I am proud to be a part of the TMG IRIS Consultant Agency.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
While I was a student at Upper Iowa University, I worked for the Association of Community Empowerment as a supervised visitation worker. I worked with families of diverse backgrounds, helping parents with the reunification process with their children in the foster care systems. There I was able to help empower families by finding them community resources that would improve their lives.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I have many hobbies, including bible study, writing, working out at the gym and cooking, to name a few. However, my most favorable hobby is budget shopping. To me, shopping is therapeutic and it provides me with a great sense of peace. However, I am not rich, so clip coupons, check out clearance racks, thrift shopping, rummage sales, etc. Each shopping trip is a adventure and I look forward to what I will find!
