Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with the people to “clear the path ahead” in a number of ways. I let them know about the available resources that let them continue to be independent in their community, live where they want to live, and be safe and healthy. I also encourage and support the person’s choices so that they can be as successful as possible. Ultimately, I help people empower themselves to do what they want to be successful and continue to live the way they want to in the community.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being an IRIS Consultant is getting to know the people I support, and helping to empower them to live an independent and self-determined life. I am able to help people reach their own definition of success.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have been in the human services/social work field for over 20 years. I have been fortunate to work with all different kinds of people of all ages. My experience includes working in skilled nursing facilities, group homes, and an institution for intellectually/developmentally disabled adults. I was also a family care manager for 8 ½ years, which has provided me with extensive knowledge and experiences to support the people I am partnering with. And as a former care manager who worked in Ozaukee, Washington, Sheboygan and Milwaukee Counties, I am also familiar with a wide variety of resources in those areas.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also love playing in my garden and simply soaking up nature by doing something outside. I also love to read, as well as watch sports – especially the Green Bay Packers! I do enjoy animals, especially dogs. I am allergic to cats.
