More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I let people know that we work together as a team to figure out what services or assistance he/she may need and implement these services so that there are not barriers in moving forward. Once services and assistance is set to where the person does not have road blocks, the path is clear and he/she can continue moving forward. I strongly reinforce that the individual is in charge of his/her own life, goals and supports, and I am there to help clear that path.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS consultant is meeting with different people, learning their stories and working together to figure out what assistance may be needed to reach his or her goals. I enjoy looking ahead with the person in attaining what they want in life, but also looking back to see how far this person has come. I truly enjoy meeting people and building relationships.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have spent a great deal of my career in people's homes and in their communities. I have worked in various counties and demographics and am familiar with community resources and programs. I have worked with diverse populations and understand that each person is different, has their own story and has distinct goals in life.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love spending time with my two boys and my husband, doing anything from bike riding, to playing baseball. I enjoy taking walks in the woods with my dog and enjoy anything outdoors, especially the sun and water in the summer. I have a strong passion for animals and volunteer to help in various ways.
