More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering means learning about you and your goals then developing an action plan that you feel comfortable with to achieve those goals. This means that I will work with you to identify services and supports available now, which will further help maximize your IRIS budget and keep the resources you need to get the care and support necessary to reach said goals.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
One of my favorite things about being an IRIS consultant is being able to watch and help people reach their goals. I find it very rewarding. One of the techniques I use to achieve this is self-directed care because it’s the path I would choose for myself and it keeps the person using services in control of the things going on around them.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
As a previous case manager, I have a lot of experience working with individuals to help identify goals and develop personalized plans to achieve those goals. I have learned the importance of asking questions and actively listening to those I work with. This helps me to develop a better understanding of the person as a whole and really get an idea of what is important to them.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my spare time, I enjoy some relaxing, quiet time at home. This often consists of some sort of Sci-Fi movie or TV program. I also enjoy spending time with my 12-year-old godson, who keeps me feeling youthful.
