Specialties (e.g., working with autism, the elderly, employment for people with disabilities or
youth in transition, mental health, experience with assisted technology)
Prior to coming to TMG, I worked with individuals with developmental disabilities for over seven years under the Illinois Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver Program. I also have almost four years of experience working at a managed care organization, where I connected individuals enrolled in the Medicaid program to health and community resources. I have extensive experience in home modification and assistant technology applications, as well as with Medicaid waiver payroll budgeting. I have assisted the people I partner with with educational and vocational resources, and I have advocated for their best interests. I have a passion for working with people in the community and helping them achieve their personal goals for independence.

More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I believe in listening to each of the people I partner with and respecting what their personal goals are. My job is to educate people on what resources are available to them and to help them make informed decisions to guide their care.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I love being able to build connections with people in my community and helping them navigate the program. It is amazing to see how linking someone with the appropriate services can make such a huge difference in their life.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have over seven years of experience working with individuals on the Illinois Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver and almost 11 years of experience working with clients of all ages with various physical and cognitive disabilities. I have helped the people I partner with navigate the system and advocate for the programs, equipment, and modifications they need to live an independent life.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy collecting sea glass, being out in nature, exploring new towns, going to drive-in theaters, playing bingo and coming up with crafts I would like to do but realistically will never get around to doing.
