More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with people by getting to know individuals on a personal level so that we can develop a good working relationship. I think the best way to do that is to get to know the person's interests. Also, I feel that sharing experiences, ideas, and respecting one another's differences is the best way to build partnerships with each other.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is helping participants obtain their life goals. Also, I get joy out of helping them remain in the least restrictive environment as possible and assisting them in overcoming any barriers they may be facing. Independence is essential to all of us. I believe that assisting others to maintain their freedom is the most crucial part of a consultant's job.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My sixteen years as a Program Director at REM Wisconsin has prepared me to become a TMG IRIS Consultant. There, I learned how to support individuals with disabilities and understand the resources available to them to help them reach their goals. I look forward to getting to know you and building a great working relationship.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
During my free time, I am very active in my community. I belong to several social justice groups in Beloit. I'm also a very active member of my church and its outreach efforts, and have coordinated various clothing drives and other needs for individuals in the community. I also volunteer for an organization that houses individuals without permanent housing. Lastly, enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
