Wisconsin Long-Term Care System Informational Series

TMG was pleased to be a part of the Wisconsin Long-Term Care System Informational Series held in the State Capitol last week. The informational series provided factual information to legislators and their staff on our state’s long-term care programs. The first day of the series was focused on IRIS and the second day on Family Care. Both days were well attended and we’ve received positive feedback from legislative offices about the series.

A special thanks to Lisa Pugh and Disability Rights Wisconsin for hosting and facilitating this well-timed event. A big thank you also to TMG staff – Shanna Jensen (Director of ICA Operations), Mary Beth Freckmann (IRIS Consultant from Oconomowoc) and Travis Wick (IRIS Consultant from Sheboygan) – for their participation in the “Basics of IRIS and ADRC’s Role” briefing. They did an outstanding job of representing the important work of TMG in supporting people to self-direct their long term care services. Most importantly, they were able to share real stories of how IRIS has empowered people to create meaningful lives in their communities.
