More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I want people participating in the IRIS Program to understand that I am their partner on this new and different journey. In addition, I want to help individuals achieve a level of independence that they are comfortable with. The best way to assist the people I partner with is to listen to what they have to say. I also work diligently to assure that individuals in the IRIS Program create a plan that will allow them to have the services they need to achieve their outcomes.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is being able to meet many new people and helping them to be able to be as successful in achieving and maintaining their outcomes, as well as being able to live as independently as possible.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have been fortunate to work with a variety of different people in my past employment. I worked as a Case Manager in foster care for many years. This experience enabled me to partner with parents, children, and family members to assure that children grow up in the best possible environment. I also had the opportunity to be a Hospice Social Worker. This experience allowed me to hone my skills in working with older adults and people with chronic illnesses.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When I have free time, I like to spend time with my children. My children are very active, so I get to spend time watching them play basketball, baseball, and perform in gymnastics. I also like to read in my spare time.
