Care Responsibilities
Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

Prior to joining TMG, I spent five years with the Community Living Alliance in Dane County. There, I worked with adults who have physical disabilities. This was a great privilege that has given me experience working with adults with disabilities. Prior to that, I spent two years working with rape crisis victims at a domestic violence shelter in Michigan.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I love working with people to help them better themselves, as well as the challenge of learning something new alongside someone.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is partnering with people to help them find ways to become a part of and remain engaged in their community as much as they would like.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
In the past, I have done similar work through Community Living Alliance. Thanks to that, I came to TMG with solid experience, and have learned how to transfer that knowledge to my work as a TMG IRIS consultant.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my three kids! We like to play outside on the weekends whenever possible. I also love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
