More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I have worked with older adults, people with developmental disabilities, as well as people with physical disabilities. I have experience with helping to obtain services and medical equipment for people's needs. I have helped many people to create a very safe and secure plan where they are able to stay in their homes and hire people that they feel comfortable with.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I feel very proud to tell people what I do for a living and know that I have helped the people that I team with to be as safe and healthy as they are able to, while feeling safe and happy living in their own homes.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have worked for numerous years as a Social Worker in a Nursing Home setting as well as a Social Worker at the local Salvation Army where I helped people obtain the what they needed to keep them safe. I also became very involved with helping the homeless population and doing some fund-raising benefits for them. Over the past 12 years, I have worked as both a Case Manager with the Community Option Program and currently a Consultant with the IRIS Program. These two jobs have been the most rewarding positions of my career.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors and belong to an ATV club where my husband and I go on long rides with groups of people. We also work on our house as we both enjoy updating and remodeling it as we can. I also enjoy walking with my two small dogs and spending time with my grown daughters that own their own dog grooming business. I recently found out that I am going to a grandmother for the first time in the spring, so I am very excited about this news.
