Specialties (e.g., working with autism, the elderly, employment for people with disabilities or youth in transition, mental health, experience with assisted technology)

Before my path lead me to TMG, I worked for an Independent Living program that supported youth and young adults who were in foster care or aged out. This experience has allowed me to support an individualís transition plan to independence and continue to mentor those in the community who are in need of permanent relationships. In my previous work as a Community Health Navigator for a hospital, I connected with families in the Milwaukee Community. In that role, I worked with Milwaukee public schools, governmental agencies and various grassroots organizations in order to build community. I educated families on community resources while supporting their goals so they can feel empowered. I believe it is important to meet individuals where they are in their growth and choices they make in order to improve their lives. I have had the opportunity to coordinate and lead many community events that educate the community around resources, opportunities and awareness in the Milwaukee area. I enjoy building relationships. I believe that everyone has a light inside and it is important to always allow that light to shine so that it can continue to stay bright in the world because one day that light may inspire others.

More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I enjoy allowing the participant to lead the direction in where they would like for their goals to be and then I provide them with the tools, resources and support to help them reach their goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
Seeing the growth in people no matter what stage they are at in their life and supporting them during some of their most challenging and vulnerable times.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Working in the community in various capacities, I have always had an open mind when interacting with people. Active listening and being truly present when supporting individuals has strengthened my experience when it comes to building relationships. I have had to grow and learn from various aspects of each person ís unique individual characteristics and challenges. Dealing with families in crisis, understanding the social barriers of community and working with families through those challenges has not only allowed for me to grow, but to make an impact and plant small seeds of inspiration into people so that they may to one day make a difference.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Spending time with my family, traveling, studying crystals and working out.
