More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
When I partner with people enrolled in TMG, I listen to their stories and what kind of life they would like for themselves. I establish a relationship of trust and continue to build on it by listening and asking questions so that together we can create a working plan that meets the needs of every participant.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is working with participants to create their vision of a meaningful life. I truly enjoy assisting people with getting the right resources and meeting the right people so that they may have the freedom to be in charge of their life.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
As an educator, I got to know many students and their families. When one of my students would struggle with a particular subject or behavior, it was my job to work with each student and their family to get the help they needed so that each student could have the best possible learning experience. I learned that every student was different and needed something a little different to make their learning experience a good one. I enjoyed helping the students, but it usually took the support of their parents and the school to get the students the help they really needed. Because of this experience, I know what it takes to work with people of all backgrounds, the time and effort required to get it right, and the satisfaction from getting people what they need wherever and whenever possible.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I like to do many things. I am a professional musician and play the drums, banjo, fiddle, and bass. I practice around the house and have a standing Sunday morning practice with a band I play in. I mostly play at weddings, anniversaries, private parties, and the occasional bar. I like cooking at home for my family, gardening, watching football and baseball, and watching movies of all genres and languages.
