More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
By working cooperatively with individuals in the IRIS program, assisting them in working towards their goals and listening to what is important to them, we clear the path ahead.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I most enjoy my time spent visiting with individuals in the IRIS program and seeing the positive effect self-direction has had on their lives.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Early in my career, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a small nursing home and then as a Home Health Aide for Washington County Community Health Nursing working primarily with the frail elderly. It was that work that best prepared me to understanding the importance of people continuing to live in their own homes and having care provided by caregivers that they trust. Working as a Job Developer providing guidance, assistance and support to people with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities and mental health issues best prepared me to continue the work of helping people move towards positive goals.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy antiquing, upscaling and restoring furnishings and other home goods. I particularly enjoy summer activities, swimming, the outdoors and a good campfire.
