More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I believe the best way to partner with others is to create a professional relationship based on trust and openness. I view my role as being the passenger while you’re in the driver seat, where you decide what services and goals are important to you.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is being able to be a part of a person's team where they get to choose what services are important to them. I love seeing how individuals become empowered when they are able to make their own decisions about reaching their goals.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Working for an independent living center gave me experience in understanding what self-determination and self-advocacy looks like for individuals who may have barriers in living the life they want to lead. I've also worked and developed relationships with local agencies and employees from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Social Security Administration, and the local Income Maintenance agency. I’m happy to share my knowledge of these resources with you.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
My free time is taken up by homework for obtaining my degree in Professional Studies at Viterbo University. However, when I'm not doing homework I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, playing video games, practicing yoga, and hanging out with my awesome dog, Boz.
