More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with people to “clear the path ahead” by use of a strengths based model. This model focuses on what a person can do, rather than their limitations as well as encourages self-direction.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant is building a trusted working relationship with my partners. I enjoy learning about what makes each individual unique.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have a number of experiences that have prepared me as an IRIS Consultant beginning with my education. In addition to a degree in Psychology and a minor in At-Risk Child and Youth Care, I am currently pursuing my Masters in Social work. In addition, I have hands on experience working as a Mental Health Practitioner. While working in this role, I worked with individuals with chronic mental health disorders to build skills to help them overcome their mental health symptoms. Working directly with individuals with varying needs and abilities has taught me to recognize and appreciate the gifts each individual has to offer.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family, especially my two nieces and nephew. Some of my favorite things in life include a hot cup of coffee, a hike through a state park, exploring new areas, a weekend at the cabin, being near water on a beach or boat, and playing a board or card game.
