What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
Everyone is amazing and valuable in their own way. As a TMG IRIS Consultant, I get to help empower people to show their value out in the community, at work, in their homes and with their family and social groups. Supporting healthy and safe living is important to me – everyone should have the opportunity for this kind of life. As a TMG IRIS Consultant, I can help provide these opportunities and truly make a different in my community.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
The start of my career began with my post high school education. I was able to discover how passionate I was about human services. Though my degree is not specifically centered around individuals with disabilities, I find it fascinating how people's behavior, contributions, beliefs and decisions impact how a society or community functions. I was hooked the moment I realized I could make a positive change in my community just by believing in a cause and making decisions to affect change. My professional experiences directly working with adults with disabilities are major factors in preparation for my TMG IRIS Consultant job now. I was able to develop some pretty amazing relationships with the most kind, generous, funny and caring individuals. These are relationships I will cherish for a lifetime. I only hope that I made the same impact on their lives that they have on mine.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I like staying active enjoying the outdoors. Camping, biking, hiking and gardening are some of my favorite activities. I am partial to warmer weather months and the outdoor activities that coincide. During winter months I do like to keep warm inside, cooking and entertaining for friends and family. If there is a party going on, it's at my house!
