Prior to coming to TMG, I worked at the ADRC of Rock County, where I helped people enrolled in Family Care and IRIS. Prior to that, I specialized in school and grief counseling. As a School Counselor, I worked with individuals whose learning was affected by conditions, such as addictions, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, social disabilities and behavioral disabilities. As a Hospice Grief Counselor, I worked with individuals and their family members whose lives were affected by disabilities near the end of life. These specialties provided experience adapting to situations which were difficult, but not impossible.

More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
All of us have personal difficulties. My job is to help individuals identify obstacles and work beside them to pave the way and minimize the effects their obstacles leave on their life.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
Partnering with people to help them reach their goals and learning what is important to them is my favorite part of being a TMG IRIS Consultant.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Living my day-to-day life and learning how to address my personal hardships has provided many opportunities to work around difficulties and better learn how to help those whose lives may be more physically challenging than mine. Counseling experience helped me become a better listener. Relationships continue to teach me the value of connectedness.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Outside of work, I enjoy playing spider solitaire, cleaning up the yard using my chainsaw and other tools, climbing trees, playing board and card games, visiting family, taking walks, riding my bike, helping others with their projects, and keeping myself busy doing projects such as woodworking, sewing and landscaping.
