More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with people to clear the path ahead by developing an honest and respectful relationship with one another in order to listen, guide and support the person to build a meaningful life.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is learning each person's unique story and goals.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
After graduating from college, I worked for two years as a Meals On Wheels Social Worker. As a Meals On Wheels Social Worker I would visit older adults in their homes, develop relationships with them, complete assessments and make any necessary referrals for other programs in the community they may be eligible for. Being a Meals On Wheels Social Worker has prepared me to become an IRIS Consultant by developing my communication and listening skills and giving me extensive knowledge on community resources. While working as a Meals On Wheels Social Worker, I was offered to transfer to work as a Rehabilitation Social Worker at a 200 bed skilled nursing facility. As a Rehabilitation Social Worker, I completed care plans, participated in interdisciplinary staffing’s and completed discharge planning services with appropriate referrals to community resources. Being a Rehabilitation Social Worker has prepared me to become an IRIS Consultant by learning how to act as a liaison and advocate between a person, their family and community providers.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two sons and taking them to the park, the zoo and museums. Also, I enjoy shopping, going out for lunch/dinner, having craft nights with friends and scrapbooking.
