Prior to coming to TMG, I worked as a Care Manager for seven and a half years and have experience helping people access services to be able to achieve their outcomes - including living where they wanted. I have extensive knowledge of services and providers available in Sawyer County. For five years, I worked as a Case Manager in a Mental Health service center and have experience working with children and adults who report mental health concerns. Prior to that, I worked in a variety of roles including mentor, adult family home manager and community-based residential facility manager. I performed a variety of tasks in each of these positions over a 15-year period.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I am a good listener. I believe that clearing the path ahead begins with a good understanding of what a person's path is and what they consider obstacles. I work to develop a trusting relationship with people and follow through on my commitments.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I think there is something very satisfying about making a connection with another person and helping that person to achieve their goals.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have approximately 25 years of experience in a variety of roles in and around long-term care. I have worked in a variety of settings with many types of people. I have had many good teachers over the years and I believe that has prepared me for becoming a competent IRIS Consultant.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family. I also like to play guitar and am a record collector. I have even toyed with the idea of opening my own record store. I also like to cook and have thought of opening a restaurant or a food truck with a friend. I am interested in history and enjoy watching documentaries.
