Molina/My Choice Wisconsin Integration Update for March 2024
As we move towards the integration of My Choice Wisconsin (MCW) Medicaid SSI and BadgerCare Plus (BC+) products to Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin on July 1, 2024, we want to provide a brief update.
- Recredentialing update
To comply with NCQA accreditation standards, we have identified approximately 60 MCW provider groups that have at least one rendering provider or facility which will need to undergo re-credentialing for Molina prior to July 1. If you are impacted, you will receive a letter in the mail with details, instructions, and resources.
- Molina Provider Online Directory changing 7/1
On July 1, our Molina Provider Online Directory will be updated to reflect if your practice is contracted with Molina for SSI, BC+, or both. Please remember to always check members’ ForwardHealth ID card to verify eligibility.
- Provider contacts
After July 1, all questions regarding transitioning MCW SSI/BC+ members should be routed to Molina provider contacts. In the meantime, please continue to reach out to your current provider contacts.
- Availity training kicks off soon
If your practice is not yet trained on and/or using Molina’s provider portal, Availity Essentials, you can get started by visiting availity.com/molinahealthcare or you can wait to attend one of multiple trainings to occur before July 1 (dates TBD).
- Reminder: No 2024 changes to other My Choice Wisconsin products
Don’t forget, the only MCW products integrating into Molina on July 1, 2024 are Medicaid SSI and BadgerCare Plus. The MCW Medicaid D-SNP product will integrate on January 1, 2025* and Family Care/Family Care Partnership will integrate on January 1, 2026*.
