How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I take the time to find out what the participant needs in order to be as independent as possible and partner with them to make a plan. I get to know the member so that I am able to suggest service and support options for them to consider so they are able to reach their goals.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I am just starting and have not worked as an IRIS Consultant yet, but I imagine that it will be very rewarding when I am able to help my members be as independent as possible!
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My work history as a care manager will assist me as well as my experience as a foster parent of a child with disabilities. I am able to bring life experience from different views.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Spending time with my 10 year old daughter. Watching movies, going to concerts, reading books.
