How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering with someone and clearing the path ahead means listening to the individual and helping them come up with the best and most accurate plan that will help them reach their goals. We will break down each goal into obtainable smaller goals to ensure the goal is achievable. If problems or concerns arise, we will work together to come up with a solution to be able to eliminate that issue and get you back on track.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is that you call the shots, and I help you reach your goals. I understand how important this is because I also want to be able to remain in my home and able to fully make decision for as long as possible. With TMG, you have the option to have a team of experts that will guide you, but not FORCE you into a decision. As an IRIS Consultant, I want to watch you obtain your goals, and feel proud that I was the one who helped you get there, as well as make sure you have the resources you need to live the life you choose.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Experience! I have worked with individuals my entire life, whether it was as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), personal care assistant (PCA), or friend. I have provided cares for strangers, neighbors, and family. I have had the experience of fostering children in need, and I have also had the experience of being the only ear an individual has had to express happiness, sadness or concern. My past jobs have also provided me with an astonishing number of tools and resources to be able to feel confident in speaking to just about anyone. I've always been a people person and enjoy conversations that lead to stories!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Free time… what's that? Just kidding! I have three boys and a husband, so my free time is spent with them. We love everything outdoors, whether that's fishing, hiking, boating or camping My husband and I enjoy cooking together so during the week that's typically what you'd find after work – the two of us in the kitchen whipping up a tasty meal! I have two dogs and three cats, so I also love spending time with them. Taking the dogs for car rides, walks, or swims in the lakes. My cats are lap cats, so they enjoy those lazy days when I do get to relax on the couch and watch a movie. We also love to travel, near or far. So planning trips with my family is also another hobby.
