More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with you and get to know about your life and what goals you have to remain in control of your life. Once an action plan of your choice is formed to achieve your goals, then I will work with you to identify services and supports available now. You will be able to stretch you IRIS budget with supports to be able to achieve your goals with the care and support necessary for you.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My passion is to support others to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. It is rewarding to see others succeeding and directing their own path to get there.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My education lead me to open doors to get some hands on experience in the field of helping others live the lives they choose. I believe real life experiences are what have prepared me the most. I have learned on the job and in my personal life how to take care of others and listen to their needs. I think working as a counselor and taking care of my grandmother for many years has prepared me to listen to the needs of others and support them while they work to get to their goals. Having a child with developmental disabilities has also opened my eyes to the great need to have the supports you need to be successful. It has also taught me patience and how to stand back and let one do things independently.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I am always with my children (I have 1 son and 2 daughters), and family or friends. We like to go out to dinner, watch movies, do some shopping, go on weekend getaways or just relax at home together with our furry friends (pets).
