More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering begins with building a strong relationship with each other. We will work together to better understand your goals and to figure out how you would like to work towards them. Together, we will then build a plan that will help support you in achieving your goals. I will then help connect you with services, and also guide you as you maintain and monitoring your budget. I’m here to provide the support you need to be successful!
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I believe that your IRIS plan should be centered around you! The IRIS program is wonderful for giving people the control and authority to manage what services and goals are important to them. I enjoy connecting people to resources and programs that can help people live their most independent life. Thanks to my past variety of roles, I enjoy being able to guide people through the different ways they can take to reach their goals.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My knowledge of different areas of disability services has given me a 'big picture' view of the various life stages and services that a person may utilize in order to gain support or to reach their goals. Many of these areas come with their own programs, funding, and procedures that can be difficult to navigate through at times. With my various roles it has given me a better understanding of how to guide people to make sure that we support every aspect of their lives whether is it remaining independent in their home, becoming more involved in their community, or working towards education and employment goals.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time at home reading or playing games with my husband and our three cats. In the summer, I spend time with my family on the river or sitting around a bonfire enjoying each other's company.
