Prior to being a TMG IRIS Consultant, I worked at a local Aging and Disability Resource Center. In this role, I completed options counseling with individuals in the community and consistently provided resources to these people to help them remain independent and living in the community. Part of this role was learning about each individual and finding whether they were eligible for particular services. In the event that they weren’t eligible for particular services, I would then work with families and individuals on how to obtain other resources that would provide necessary supports and services. I enjoyed working with all types of individuals and helping them find what they needed to maintain this independence.

More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with individuals by getting to know the person and what their needs/goals are. I work with the person to determine if he or she has the necessary supports available. And if they don’t, I look for ways to provide that person with the resources they need in order to maintain independence and accomplish their goals. I also serve as a resource to the individual to ensure that these goals are consistently being maintained.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I am an advocate for self-directed care. I believe it is important for people to have the ability to choose who they would like for in-home supports as a lot of people are more comfortable hiring individuals they know. I enjoy working with individuals and watching them achieve goals and remain independent throughout life.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My work at the ADRC and helping people with options counseling has prepared me to be a resourceful and passionate TMG IRIS Consultant. I will look into every avenue to help you find the supports and services you need to thrive. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy being with my family. My children are just starting to play sports, so my husband and I are coaching them and supporting them in their interests. I also love supporting the Wisconsin Badgers by attending various sporting events each year, especially Badger Football and Volleyball games. I also enjoy sitting by a campfire with family and friends.
