Care Responsibilities

Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I enjoy working closely with people to help them figure out what is important to them. From there, we will create a plan to help them achieve those goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being an IRIS Consultant is helping people achieve their goals and giving them the tools to self-direct their plan. Helping a person stay in control so that they can self-direct their lives is an empowering thing.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My previous work experience opened my eyes to the community around me, making me realize just how diverse and unique we all are. I've learned the importance of listening and asking questions so that I can better understand what others are trying to express and accomplish. We all have a voice that deserves to be recognized – some people just might need assistance making that voice be heard.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When I’m not working, I love being with my family, whether we’re hanging around the house, hitting the outdoors or swimming. I’m also a book lover, particularly a good suspenseful drama or mystery.
