Specialties (e.g., working with autism, the elderly, employment for people with disabilities or
youth in transition, mental health, experience with assisted technology)
Prior to coming to TMG, I taught and tutored high school student with developmental disabilities; helping them transition into young adulthood. I also worked with students with autism and Down syndrome. My extensive work with older adults in their home, as well as in an Assisted Living facility, allows me to understand their desire to be as independent as possible but also to understand their need for support to do this.

More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
To partner with a person I first take the time to truly listen so I can understand their desires, goals, passions and concerns. Then I work with them to identify what services and supports are available so they can accomplish their goals and have a meaningful life.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I love getting to know every person well and working with them to achieve meaningful goals. I enjoy helping others and seeing them succeed.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
For four years, I helped care for a friend with quadriplegia; everything from personal cares to social outings. This experience reiterated to me the importance of treating everyone with dignity and respect - no matter their ability or circumstance.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy reading a wide variety of books. I also love animals, particularly dogs. I enjoy walking my dogs and taking them to the dog park. I also enjoy a good thunderstorm and snow storm!
