More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I meet with the participant and learn about them: What would an ideal day look like, and how can we navigate around the obstacles between them and living a more meaningful, vibrant life? We will discuss what supports and services are already available to them, then develop a plan that will put additional services in place to help them achieve their goals. The participant is the driver of their life, and I am the helpful passenger partnering with them, and providing guidance and encouragement along the way.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I believe everyone should have the right to make important decisions about their day-to-day life as much as possible. Who knows what you want most out of your life than you do? I love having the opportunity to help people plan and execute meaningful changes to lead safe, happy, fulfilling lives.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
With a background in case management and years of experience working with folks with a variety of physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities, I am familiar with the local services and resources that may be needed for folks with special needs to maintain a high quality of life.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love to travel and be outdoors. I enjoy hiking, camping, and exploring my neighborhood. In the warmer months, I enjoy going out to the backyard to take in the natural world around me while tending my vegetable garden. I love to cook and experiment with new recipes. I'm also an animal lover and have spent countless hours cuddling with my cat while watching TV on the couch.
