I've spent most of my career providing services to individuals of all ages. This includes working with families in the community and in their homes. I have also provided prenatal support, assessments for the Birth to Three program and children of all ages, as well as have provided services and support to people who are aging. This has opened my eyes to how diverse people are, while at the same time showing just how much people are alike. Working with people in their homes can provide these folks a comfort that I believe everyone should have. It's difficult enough for people to work with complete strangers, so at the very least, I believe that people should feel secure, and that as their TMG IRIS Consultant, I keep their best interest in mind.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with people to clear the path ahead by being a supportive, reliable partner. I'm a silent leader who understands that people lead their own lives, and that everyone's journey is not the same. I appreciate being chosen to be a partner to share in people’s lives. It's important that I build a strong relationship with the people I partner with and their supports. I work side by side with you to support your goals, be an encouraging voice for you, and to help you continue living as independently as possible.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy that the people I partner with share parts of their lives with me. I also like knowing that my role as your TMG IRIS Consultant is to support your goals and help you figure out how to achieve them. I appreciate being able to see the joy participant's experience when they have met their goals.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Life events prepared me to become a TMG IRIS Consultant. I started my career working with people who were not able to be in control of their lives. They had no independence to choose what they wanted for their lives. I had many sleepless nights during that time because I had the regular contact with people who found themselves in situations that required another person to make decisions for them. I saw by working with people regularly that sometimes the picture that was painted was just one small moment of their lives, and that the picture was not accurate. By working with people who had to endure many rules being placed on their lives prepared me to be proactive supporting people with their goals. Together, I look forward to helping you live the life you choose.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. When we have nothing has to be planned, with no stress or deadlines, that’s what I truly consider free time. It gives me time to slow down and enjoy the things around me.
