Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I believe that communication is key to a successful partnership. We have to talk through the issues you may be experiencing and discuss how you can reach your goals. Once those are determined, we can make a plan to move forward. It's important that we hear each other out and all work together to achieve the intended goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
One of my favorite things about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is meeting new participants and being able to help them get the services that they need. I truly enjoy being able to help them continue to live their daily lives independently and in their own homes. Another thing I enjoy about being an IRIS Consultant is having the opportunity to work from home. That gives me time to balance out my work schedule and my personal life.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
In my last position, I was a care manager. The duties were very similar to the ones I have as a TMG IRIS Consultant, and that has prepared me to become a better Consultant. Also, I have been in the healthcare field for quite some time as a medical interpreter. From translating different languages, providing home visits, and discussing health-related issues with health officials, I have gained many skills that have helped me in this new role. Also, I have worked with all sorts of clients and healthcare providers. I feel that this has strengthened my communication skills, and has given me great people skills. I look forward to partnering with you to help you achieve your goals.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I wish I had more free time but when I do have free time, I take my role as Dad and Grandpa very seriously. I love to spend time with my family and we try to get together often to enjoy each other's company. Also, I serve as a chairman of my church. I often attend meetings and help the church as much as I can.
