More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Focusing on outcomes one at a time, and one's abilities, is how I like to start the journey in working together. Partnering together to build off of strengths, resources, and knowledge allows one to start achieving their outcomes one by one to create the foundation for their future. I believe it only takes one step at a time to clear the path ahead, while leaving an impression behind.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
Being able to pair with individuals participating in the IRIS Program and their families is what I find most rewarding about being a TMG IRIS Consultant. Being welcomed into people's homes and lives is a special opportunity allowing us to build relationships by getting to know each other. Various experiences during my time as an IRIS Consultant have helped me grow as a person and broadened my passion for helping others, and that is something I will always thank the individuals I partner with for. There is nothing more rewarding to me than helping others achieve their dreams.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Having worked with diverse populations in various settings has prepared me to become an IRIS Consultant. My past experience includes working with youth in transition, youth and adults with traumatic brain injury, homeless women and children, and caring for older adults in assisted living. In addition to various populations my knowledge of community resources allows me to strengthen self-direction in the lives of those I partner with.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Being a mother of three beautiful children keeps me busy; however, our family likes to be outdoors and enjoy as much time together as we can. In addition to my family, I am passionate about volunteering in my community and giving back to those in need. While studying to receive my Master's degree, I completed my internship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where I managed collegiate volunteers. The experience broadened my knowledge while also deepening my desire to bring awareness and support to St. Jude. Throughout the year our family organizes fundraisers and collects supplies to send to patient families.
