Care Responsibilities

Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

I've also worked as an art facilitator for older adults and people with various physical and/or mental disabilities at a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) in Milwaukee. More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering means taking the time to listen and learn about what is important to you, including your interests and goals. We will work together to identify your strengths and identify what additional supports are needed for you to move forward toward achieving your goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy learning about a person's skills, hobbies, and interests and then partnering together to create a map of how they can achieve their goals. Self-directed care can be a path to self-empowerment. Working with individuals, community, family, and friends on this path is a wonderful aspect of collaboration.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My previous job roles as a case manager, art facilitator and job developer introduced me to a variety of individuals and experiences. I find great joy in collaborating with people and working with them on their journey toward advancing goals at home and within the community.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and with my dog hiking, camping and walking along the Lake Michigan shoreline. I also enjoy reading, art and theater. When my schedule permits, I like to travel and visit new places.
