More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering means we are on the same team to reach the goals you have chosen for yourself. As your TMG IRIS Consultant, I will empower and support you in identifying your long-term vision for yourself – whatever that may be! Together we will clear the path ahead by working to analyze and overcome any obstacles that may present as we work towards your goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
As a TMG IRIS Consultant, I enjoy sharing in the successes of individuals. From the very start, the IRIS program allows participants to self-direct their plans. I am filled with joy and gratitude when I am allowed to witness individuals being adequately supported so that they can achieve the goals that are most important to them.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Historically, older and/or disabled individuals have been ostracized. Thankfully as time goes on, changes have been made within society that encouraged the inclusiveness of these populations. However, as an educator, I have witnessed that individuals with specific needs can easily fall through the cracks when the proper policies, procedures, laws and support services are not in place. We continue to need impactful and strong-minded people willing to advocate alongside these populations to continue improving their communities' inclusivity. I can do that advocacy through my work as a TMG IRIS Consultant. My day-to-day interactions with participants give me further insight into the individuals' needs and the societal obstacles they may face. Once those obstacles are identified, I can advocate for the changes needed to address them head-on.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. I like going for walks and hikes, taking bike rides, and enjoying the sounds of nature. I have picked up a few hobbies over the past couple of years, including painting, macrame, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. My favorite way to spend my time though, is with my closest friends and family members.
