More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I volunteer in the Hmong community to educate this population about public benefits available to them and their family. I also volunteer at churches by serving at events and fundraisers.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite part about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is meeting new people and learning from them. I enjoy working with a diverse background because I believe it helps me grow as an individual, in love and in knowledge.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I was an Income Maintenance Specialist and Hmong Interpreter at the Department of Health & Human Services from 2012-2015. As an Income Maintenance Specialist, I became very knowledgeable of the public benefits available to a large range of demographics. I was a Quality Assurance Analyst at ResCare Workforce from 2015-2018. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, I grew my skills in analyzing and detailing; especially with making sure that we provided participants with the most help possible, regardless of their history. I am currently the treasurer for my church, and have been since 2016. Since I was recently re-elected to the treasurer position, I feel this proves that I have committed to my work and that I have integrity. My church trusts me.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I most enjoy spending my free time with my husband and children. I believe that time is the most valuable gift anyone can give. Mostly, we watch movies, play at the local parks, and read together. I also serve my church and the Hmong community, and will assist them with any need.
