More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
To be a true partner, there is good communication. Once I learn about your goals and life dreams we will partner together to identify resources and supports within your community to help you achieve your goals.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
As an IRIS Consultant for many years, I have found this to be the most fulfilling work I have ever done. Partnering with and watching people be empowered by the freedom to make their own decisions and self-direct their own care to become successful or to reach a goal is very rewarding.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Both personal and professional experiences have prepared me to become an IRIS Consultant. The many years of experience working with a variety of individuals needing supports whether in a supervisory capacity, as a volunteer coordinator working with older adults who volunteered in schools, or organizing and facilitating community outings to name a few, have all prepared me for the important work I do as an IRIS Consultant.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, my husband and I enjoy boating and relaxing up north. My family's happiness is important to me so much free time is spent talking with and spending time with my 3 adult sons and their families as well my parents and brother and his family. I love being Nana to my 3 young granddaughters. I love to cook and try new recipes. I like to read as much as possible. I enjoy most animals and even dog sit from time to time.
