More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering is about empowering people to use the tools they already have to reach their goals. Our communities are rich with resources and it's about connecting and developing these connections to help break everyday barriers that hold us back from reaching our goals. Many times we donÆt see our own potential or the potential of our community. I will partner with individuals participating in the IRIS Program to help clear this path and help open the window to new opportunities!

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy the diversity of this position! I get the pleasure of working with a variety of people in the program who share similar goals yet each person has a have a unique way of meeting their goals. I enjoy watching them grow while in the program and the empowerment that comes with them being about to self-direct their cares.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I spent 2 years volunteering with the St. Vincent de Paul Resource Center in Prairie du Sac, WI. During this time, I also supported the Good Neighbor Clinic (non-profit clinic for those without insurance) as a Function Coordinator for an additional 2 years. These two positions provided me with an opportunity to learn by experience instead of a college textbook. I worked with a diverse population and learned the importance of being a good listener and the hard work required to help people reach their most basic needs.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending my free time with my family. As a family we enjoy camping in the summer time and big bonfires. In the winter months, we enjoy spending our time reading books, watching movies, and playing board games. I'm also a fan of naps on the weekend :)
