More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I think it's important to understand what a person values in their life. I partner with people to clear the path ahead by helping people identify what they want in their life and a way to pursue that lifestyle. I acknowledge that things do not always go exactly as planned. I am supportive but also realistic in the pursuit of the lifestyle a person wants.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy the creativity we are given in regards to creating a plan with the individuals I partner with in the IRIS Program. I also enjoy working with a variety of people, each with their own personal strengths and beliefs. The lack of monotony is my favorite thing about being an IRIS Consultant.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My life experiences, education, and previous work experience as a Targeted Case Manager and Program Instructor helped prepare me for my position as an IRIS Consultant. Life experiences have taught me progress is not comfortable. My education has provided me a strong foundation for the field I have chosen. My past work experiences have allowed me to learn and develop my skills while working with people with disabilities.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy being physically active. Working out is important to my mental and physical health. I enjoy playing video games and watching movies. I spend my free time training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
