How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
By empowering individuals to self-direct their lives, I am able to be a supportive partner and assist them in achieving their goals. This, in turn, can help them to have more independent and meaningful lives.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
Being able to partner with a variety of individuals is challenging, yet exciting. Building and maintaining a strong relationship with participants is both important and rewarding for me. Diversity is what makes the world such a fascinating and magnificent place.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Shortly after graduating college, I worked for Lutheran Social Services for almost two years. During this time, I provided case management to those individuals in the Wisconsin correctional system who had drug and alcohol dependencies. Prior to being employed with TMG, I worked in family care for over six years. I provided person-centered and community-focused case management to elders and adults with mental health as well as physical disabilities. All of my combined experience has prepared me to be a knowledgeable and passionate TMG IRIS Consultant.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, three kids and two cats! We enjoy traveling when we are able to. I enjoy attending movies and over the last couple of years, I have really grown to love photography.
