More about me
How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I am a people person, and I like to establish good repours with people right off the back. I listen to individuals learn what they want, their goals and outcomes, and I work with them to achieve those goals. I have found in all my years of working with people that listening, and having empathy and compassion helps me to understand their concerns and goals. I also possess the skills to encourage and motivate people. I always try and do my best to help with services, resources and opportunities to help you live and dream. I have always used wisdom to provide support, and as I mentioned to encourage you. I am a constant learner so that I can provide the best services as possible to the people I partner with.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite part about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is having the opportunity to work with the population of people that need long-term care services, I truly enjoy working with them, and being an IRIS Consultant allows me to do just that.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have worked for more than 15 years in the social services field, and have more than 25 years of customer service experience. I have held management positions, and have started from the bottom and worked my way up. However, there was always one thing I excelled in, and that is paying attention to what the person I’m partnering with need and figuring out how to resolve their issues.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I like to read and listen to motivational speakers to help me maintain balance and success. I also volunteer at various organizations when time permits and go to community events. Oh, yeah, I also like to watch television when time permits. On some days I do whatever the wind blows in. I also like to travel and see different parts of the world. However, the most important of all is my self-care. I take time out and just relax from the cares of the world – some much-needed “just me” time. I also like to write, however I have not been doing it as often as I like (though I plan to pick the habit back up soon!)
