How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
By building a mutually respectable relationship with clients, learning about your areas of strength as well as those areas you may need support. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals as you see fit as well as working with you and your support system. I look forward to learning from you as well as you learning for me.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
Participants are in charge and self-directed their long-term care in ways that are important to them. I love that I can be a support in this process while allowing individuals to still have their independence of taking care of their responsibilities. Meeting people where they are and looking to the person and not their disability is very important to me.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I believe my past experiences both professionally as well as with members within my family have set the foundation for being a successful IRIS consultant. I've learned that it's nice sometimes to be pushed out of your comfort zone, it can show your skills and talents you didn't know you had. Through both my personal and professional life I've had the luxury of working with babies up to society's wise and more seasoned adults.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as going to different events in the community.
