Behavioral Health Resources in Schools

Molina understands the importance of mental health, especially for school-aged children. Molina works collaboratively with both school districts and community behavioral health providers to ensure school districts have the resources they need to meet the needs of their students.

Molina works closely with providers who offer services on school campuses as well as providers who are direct referral source when a specific need is identified. To begin services, students and their parent/guardian are encouraged to meet with their school professional (i.e., counselor, social worker, psychologist, etc) and request for a School-Based Universal Referral Form to be completed. While these services may be initiated with the help of the school, students and their families always have a right to select the location that they will receive services by a behavioral health provider, including at home or at an office.

Schools are encouraged to utilize the AHCCCS School Feedback form to report any barriers and/or successes in attaining behavioral health services for their students.

If you need help or if you have any questions, please call the children’s health care administrator at (480) 435-1401.
