Scheduling your Appointment:

Did you know that one of the best ways to say well is by getting annual checkups and regular screenings? This helps your doctor catch problems early when they may be easier to treat. Here’s a guide for how often you should get screenings and services and how soon your doctor should be able to schedule your appointments.

Preparing for your Appointment:

Being planned and prepared for your doctor appointment will help you make the most of your time and help you get the best care. Before your appointments, you should:

Before your appointment

Identify your current medical needs:

  • Do you need help with a specific health issue?
  • Do you need to renew a prescription?
  • Do you have questions about your health condition, treatment plan or medication options?
  • Prioritize what is most important to you, and make a list of questions or concerns you want to discuss with the doctor

Collect important medical information:

  • If you monitor your blood pressure or glucose levels, be sure you record your results in the morning and evening for the four days before your appointment and bring that list with you.
  • Make a list of all the medications, supplements, and herbal remedies you take regularly.
  • Gather any previous medical tests and/or information your doctor may want to review.

Contact your doctor’s office

Contact your doctor’s office if you have accommodation needs, such as:

  • Interpreter requests
  • Parking accommodations

Confirm ahead of time

  • That your doctor takes your current insurance
  • How you will get to and from your appointment
  • Contact Molina Healthcare to learn about transportation assistance options.
