Molina/My Choice Medicaid SSI/BadgerCare Plus Integration Goes Live Today
Exciting news!
Today, we made a giant leap forward in the continuing integration of two great companies focused on the care and service of members across Wisconsin. Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin, Inc. is thrilled to bring together 20,000+ My Choice Wisconsin Medicaid SSI and BadgerCare (BC+) members with our 61,000+ Molina Wisconsin Medicaid members under the Molina brand, effective today. What changes today:
- My Choice Medicaid SSI/BC+ eligibility changes to Molina in ForwardHealth. Be sure to update the eligibility information in your system and accept either a ForwardHealth ID card or a Molina ID card for Medicaid SSI/BC+.
- For dates of service July 1, 2024 and after:
- New SSI/BC+ claims should be submitted to Molina. Molina will handle all claims payment and processing for dates of service July 1 and after. To prepare for electronic payments and/or remittance information, we recommend that you register AND set up your payment preferences (virtual credit card, EFT, or paper check) with ECHO Health, Molina’s provider payment platform. Molina’s payer ID is ABRI1. Enrollment information can be found on our website and in the provider manual.Note: Claims for members with dual coverage (i.e. My Choice Medicare and Molina Medicaid) will cross over automatically within the My Choice/Molina systems. You will not need to submit a second claim for secondary payment.
- New SSI/BC+ authorizations should be submitted to Molina. All new authorizations should follow Molina prior authorization guidelines and be submitted to Molina via Availity or fax. For questions, call the UM phone #s in our Prior Auth Guide or use our Auth Code Look Up Tool.
- For dates of services prior to July 1, 2024:
- All open SSI/BC+ authorizations have been integrated into Molina’s systems. Good news! You do not have to resubmit any currently open authorizations.
- SSI/BC+ claims and appeals will continue to be processed by My Choice. See our Quick Reference Guide for contact information and more.
- Reminder: NO CHANGES for My Choice Medicare, Family Care, and Family Care Partnership.
- Please continue to follow the current My Choice process for these members until further notice.
