How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
In clearing the path ahead, I start by giving them an overview of myself. I ask open-ended questions to get them talking about themselves. Once the path is clear we can begin building a great relationship.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is the special and unique people I help. They are caring, sincere and most of all they want to be self-sufficient. I love the look on their faces when I provide resources and opportunities that they can use to help them move forward towards self-sufficiency.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I love working with people of varying abilities and older adults, which is the reason I chose the Human Services field. Over the past years I have worked with people who are elderly and disabled, I also have family members who are disabled as well. I have personal and professional experience that prepared me to become a TMG IRIS Consultant.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I look for community resources that might help the people I partner with. I also like to take walks, bake and watch sports.
