Employment services are available in different ways, including:
- Through your AHCCCS health plan
- From Rehabilitation Services Administration/Vocational Rehabilitation (RSA/VR)
- From community resources
Employment services are available for Medicaid-eligible individuals of all ages who are getting behavioral health or Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) services. These are services that help members get members ready for or keep employment. Reach out to your behavioral health or DDD provider to learn more.
The Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program is the state employment program that provides a variety of services to persons with disabilities which also holds to the goal to prepare for, enter, or retain employment. The Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) provides leadership and resources to assist state and other agencies in providing vocational rehabilitation and other services to individuals with disabilities to maximize their employment, independence, and integration into the community and the competitive labor market.
To be eligible for VR/RSA services, you must:
- You have a physical or mental impairment;
- Your physical or mental impairment constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment
- You require VR services in order to prepare for, secure, retain, or regain employment, and
- You can benefit from the provision of VR services in terms of achieving an employment outcome.

- ARIZONA@WORK: This is a statewide workforce development tool available to all Arizonans. Go to arizonaatwork.com to learn more and find a location near you! - Vocational Rehabilitation: The vocational rehabilitation program offers a variety of services to persons with disabilities. The ultimate goal is to prepare for, start or keep employment.
