Before coming to TMG as an IRIS Consultant, I worked for a non-profit organization that provided services for individuals living with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Here I coordinated appropriate services based in individual needs. Prior to that, I worked for over a decade in the local school districts as a special education paraprofessional and a special education coordinator for the 18 to 21 year old transitional program. During my time in these roles I was honored to assist individuals of all ages, disabilities, and all races, achieve their short term and long term goals. Those goals included, but were not limited to, educational accomplishments, work experience and internships, direct employment, and introducing new levels of independence in daily life skills.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I believe building a trusted rapport, and having open communication with people, often creates a collaboration in self advocacy to start to clear the path ahead.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I love knowing that the work I do, provides quality solutions to allow people continuous self-direction as if changes.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
The past ten plus years I have worked within a population based around educating and meeting specific needs for individuals, has certainly prepared me for the mission behind IRIS.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love anything to do with the outdoors and I love any chance I get for time spent with family. Fishing is one of my most favorite things to do. I also enjoy to roller-skating with my dogs during the nicer months of Wisconsin weather.
