How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
Partnering means learning about you and your goals, then creating a plan you feel comfortable with to be successful. I will work with you to identify ways the IRIS program can assist you with achieving your goals while utilizing your current resources and exploring new opportunities.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I’m a big believer in self-directed care, because it’s the path I would choose for myself and it keeps the person using services in control of the things happening around them. Helping people get the most out of life is rewarding and fulfilling. My biggest joys are when they achieve something that they’ve worked hard at or wanted for a long time.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals. Starting as a direct caregiver, I gained invaluable experience that has guided me through the person-centered care ideals. I've used this philosophy as a supervisor, manager, and director to help other improve the quality of their lives.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love to camp with my family and cooking anything outdoors.
