More About Me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with people by meeting them where they are at, getting to know what their strengths, needs, and goals are.  I listen carefully to their backgrounds, what is important to them, and the aspirations for their future.  I provide resources, guidance, and encouragement to meet their goals. I educate people about services that are available or that they are eligible for and provide choices to them.  I advocate for services and supports to meet people's needs.  I empower people by learning from their weaknesses, focusing on their strengths, knowledge and the variety of supports they have around them.  I support them in their journey!

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy working with people in the community and partnering with them on their journey in the IRIS program.  I enjoy advocating for and empowering others to live their best lives; the life they choose.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Prior to TMG, I worked as a Case Manager for 26 years, in a variety of settings, with a variety of populations.  I have worked as a resident assistant, CBRF program director, case manager for those with HIV/AIDS, autism, and developmental disabilities, as a hospital case manager in behavioral health, cardiology, oncology, maternity, CCU and ER.  Most recently, I was the Director of Case Management for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.  Throughout my career, I have had the privilege to work closely with clients, their families/supports and numerous community providers.  These experiences have taught me to meet people where they are at in their lives, look from the perspective of the individual and their supports.  I was able to be compassionate and understanding of people, sometimes in the lowest parts of their lives.  I provided resources, guidance and empowerment to strive to meet their goals and objectives.  Advocated for their best interests.  Celebrated in all of their accomplishments. My overall case management career has prepared me to be an IRIS Consultant.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my husband, four children, dog and friends.  I am very "outdoorsy" when it comes to most of my interests and hobbies.  I love camping, spending time on the water (fishing, skiing, paddleboarding), working in my flower and vegetable gardens, hunting, snowshoeing, campfires, baking, scrapbooking and travel.  It seems that I have been able to find some favorites during each season throughout the year. This has kept me quite busy!
